Free hosting abuse by spammers
URL blacklists are currently able to list many spam domains in advance. This has spammers searching for alternatives, such as url shorteners. Many url shorteners use url blacklists to check domains that they redirect to.
Currently, we see abuse of free web site hosters that provide subdomains. These are now being listed on url blacklist SURBL. In the future we might see blacklists that provide support for not only domains and subdomains, but also for paths in url's.
ASTPS supports efficient blacklists checking for subdomains and domains.
